A joint delegation of Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind and Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Muslim organizations met the victims of Assam police brutality open firing.

On the instructions of President Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind Maulana Mahmood Madani, two lakh rupees each from Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind and Ajmal Foundation to the dead and twenty twenty thousand to the injured and distribution of ration, tents, and taps among all 900 families.
On the instructions of Maulana Mahmood Madani, National President of Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind, an esteemed delegation which also includes central workers of Jamaat-e-Islami. These days he is on a tour of Assam. Today, the joint delegation went out to Dholpur Basti of Darang district and met the families affected by the desolation and police action.
Especially met the parents, children and widow of 37 years Moinul Haq, who died in the inhuman violent incident (whose dead body was lathi-charged by the police after being shot and a man was jumping on his chest). So at that time tears welled up from everyone’s eyes.
On this occasion, in consultation with Maulana Badruddin Ajmal, President of Jamiat Ulama Assam, two lakh rupees were given to the family of the deceased by Jamiat Ulama Assam and Ajmal Foundation.
Similarly, the parents of 14-year-old Sheikh Farid were also given two lakh rupees by Jamiat Ulama. Apart from this, each of the 900 families was given a kit of food items, which includes, 25 kg rice, 2 kg pulses, 2 kg sugar, 2 kg oil, 2 kg salt, 2 kg spices and biscuits for children. 200 handpumps and 900 tents were also distributed to the affected families. A medical camp was set up there by Jamaat-e-Islami Hind. On behalf of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Shri Amin-ul-Hasan Vice President Jamaat Islami Hind, Mohammad Shafi Madani Secretary Jamaat Islami Hind were present in the delegation.
This delegation could reach the affected areas only through tractors. Homeless families were happy to see the goods with them. They are settled in scattered places here and there. Many do not even have thatch to cover their heads. He felt immense relief after seeing the tents provided by Jamiat Ulama. The delegation also visited the place where preparations are being made for their rehabilitation.
The delegation heard the pain of the family of the deceased Moinul Haque. The delegation told that earlier he has also met Chief Minister Assam, SP of Darang etc. and has demanded rights and justice for you from the government. We are here to share the sorrow and pain with you and are doing what we have made possible and will do in future also.
On this occasion Maulana Hakimuddin Qasmi General Secretary Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind said that President of Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind, respected Maulana Mahmood Asad Madani is very saddened by your condition and he has also written a letter to the Home Minister of India and prayed to Allah.
Earlier Fida-e-Millat Maulana Asad Madani, former president of Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind, had a close relationship with this land, he took up the affairs of Assam all his life from Parliament to the road. After him, under the leadership of former president Hazrat Maulana Qari Syed Mohammad Osman Mansoorpuri and current president Maulana Mahmood Madani, the fight for NRC in Assam was also fought with great struggle, which is still pending in the Supreme Court.
Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind cannot leave you people alone and helpless like this. Allah Ta’ala helps the victims and those who stand up for the poor, the suffering and the helpless, Allah also helps them. Today we are very sad to see you guys in this forest and desert. The struggle of our President Maulana Mahmood Madani and Jamiat Ulama Assam President Maulana Badruddin Ajmal Inshallah will surely pay off. Along with this, the activists and office-bearers of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind who have come here also think that we have come from Delhi to share your sorrow.
The affected told the delegation that we were rendered homeless. When we protested, our lives were taken. We live in a democratic country yet why were we treated like this. We just want justice and a home and a mohalla for our children. The right of which we have got at the constitutional level and which is also the duty of the government.
